Made by artists, for artists.

Lighting references shaped here.

From soft lighting to high-key rim lighting, front view to side profile, neutral facial expressions to animated figures. Every setup on this page shows what’s possible inside Light Dropper, built by real artists using it. Jump into the setup behind any scene, pull it apart, and put it back together as something all your own. This is what happens when lighting references stop being static images.

Male Walking Reference

Warm studio lighting on a walking female pose reference

A walking pose held perfectly still. While the library has animated walk cycles, this one stays put so you can study the moment without worrying about losing the pose. The warm skin against the teal makes every plane easy to read.

Multicolored lighting study on a front-facing head

Red, yellow, green, purple. Someone threw the whole color wheel at this head and somehow it works. Every plane is a different temperature and that makes this one of the most vibrant form studies on the page.

High contrast lighting on open hand pose reference

The red background cranks up the drama and the multi-point lighting does the rest. Hard to find a hand reference this well-lit. Harder still to find one you can bend to your will.

Hard spotlight on a sphere value and contour study

A harsh spotlight and a red contour band that tells you exactly where the value lives. The  core shadow is deep, and the radius clearly defined. Load it, soften the light, move it, or push it further. The sphere doesn’t care either way.

High key light with rim accents on a front view portrait

A hard key light cuts across the face from the upper right while rim accents catch the side of the head and the jaw. The acid green background keeps the contrast loud. Load it, soften the key, or push the rims further.
